Laura J. Martin has been with the firm since 2003, when she earned her juris doctorate from the University of Cincinnati Law School. A firm believer that you can’t do everything and do it well, Laura concentrates her law practice exclusively to the areas of Estate Planning, Wills, Trusts, Probate and Estate Administration, Elder Law, Special Needs Trusts and Planning, Pet Trusts and Planning, and Small Business matters. She enjoys teaching a basic understanding of these areas of law to fellow attorneys, other professionals, and members of the community through various continuing education and speaking engagements throughout the year.
Laura has a simple, client oriented, approach to the practice of law: Whether your assets, business or estate are worth one thousand dollars or several million, every client needs and deserves access to quality legal counsel at a reasonable fee. Each client is an individual and a “one size fits all” approach to practicing law not only doesn’t work, it’s a disservice to those who turn to and trust the legal profession with their problems, concerns, goals and family matters. As a member of the mid-size Dayton, Ohio law firm of Wright & Schulte, LLC, Laura is pleased to be able to offer clients the level of legal service and attention to detail expected from a larger firm combined with the personalized approach and individual consideration desired from a smaller firm.
Laura is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, OSBA Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law Section, OSBA Elder Law Committee, American Bar Association, ABA Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section, the Ohio Association of Justice and the local Dayton Bar Association. In her free time, Laura can often be found on a local hiking trail, out training her dogs, volunteering, or teaching competitive detection dog training and handling principles to companion dog owners.
