NFA Trust

Wright & Schulte Legal Services - NFA Trust
The Second Amendment declares that the right of all citizens of the United States to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Nationally, this means every United States citizen has the right to own rifles, handguns, and shotguns when in compliance with state and national regulations including Class III. It also allows the sale and use of class III firearms regulated by the National Firearms Act (NFA). These additional firearms include:

  • Silencers
  • Destructive Devices (DD)
  • Short Barreled Rifles (SBR)
  • Machine Guns
  • Short Barreled Shotguns (SBS)
  • And any other firearm (AOW)

These are Class III firearms, which require compliance with the NFA and must be purchased through a licensed Class III Dealer. These firearms, as well as regular firearms, can be owned as a trust, a corporation, or an individual. For the safety and legal protection of Class III gun owners, it is recommended that Class II firearm owners establish a NFA Gun Trust. This will allow you to own short-barrel rifles, automatic firearms, silencers, and the other items listed above.
